President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited the main Buddhist temple complex of the Republic of Kalmykia – ‘Geden Sheddub Choi Korling’. Its name translates as ‘Abode of enlightened monks‘.

The abbot of the Buddhist temple told Russian President Vladimir Putin about the history of the temple, reports ‘KalmykiaNews’.

Prior of a temple noted that in Republic of Kalmykia try to respect the traditions of all religious groups. President of Russia Vladimir Putin noticed in response to the importance of maintaining spiritual traditions.
