Main objective of the forum, dedicated to 2600 anniversary of the Buddha Shakyamuni to achieve full enlightenment (Sambodhiprapti) – Review existing and develop new ways of interaction of Buddhism with the modern world, which desperately needs the ideals of peace-loving and progress.

The focus of the congress pointed questions of our time: the role of moral and human values, peace and progress, conflict and violence, social inequality and environmental degradation.
