New holiday “Day of the steppe”

In Kalmykia was established holiday “Day of the steppe”.

From 2015 on the third Sunday of April in the Kalmykia Republic will be celebrated holiday “Day of the steppe”.

This initiative Steppe UNDP project for the establishment of the “Day of the steppe” in the country was supported by the delegates of the conference on nature protection.

Minister Nikolai Ochirov supported this idea at a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Republic of Kalmykia.

This year’s holiday “Day of the steppe” will be celebrated on April 19.
