The prophecies of the three witches about the royal throne and the proud desire of Lady Macbeth to become the Queen of Scotland served as a trigger for the upcoming drama. The murder of Duncan, with which the path to the throne began, became a kind of point of no return.

Macbeth is forced to continue killing to escape the consequences of his first crime. Comrades in arms, supposed enemies, innocent children…
