The sacred month Ur Sar has begun in Kalmykia

Central khurul Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni On 21th of May the sacred month Ur Sar has begun in the Republic of Kalmykia. During the whole month until 19th of June the believers in Kalmykia will honor the spiritual deeds of the buddist religion founder Budda Shakyamuni – birth, enlightment, and entering the Paranirvana. Dalai Lama Ten thousands of believers in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha came from all parts of Russia and Kalmykia to Elista in 1991 to receive the Teaching and Blessing of Dalai Lama XIV, the incarnation of bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.
