Kalmykia News: Would you like to learn to dance salsa with a passionate Spanish or with a hot Argentinian? I’m sure you would, even if you have no experience.

Two years ago I’ve decided to set up my own studio with dance teachers from other countries and cities. Without thinking, I went to New York to find some. I visited several dozens of studios, met many different choreographers and realized that it was the first step of creating something big.

Another year comes to an end, it’s cold and the steppe is covered in a thin layer of snow. When her husband, who makes a living from illegal fishing, asks her one night what she did during the day, she lies. She wasn’t at her mother’s, but at the bus stop. She thought of leaving – to find out what it might be to escape the infinite expanse of her dreary small world. But she didn’t dare; instead she stays and withdraws into herself, unconcerned by who might see.

Telo Tulku Rinpoche, an influential Tibetan Buddhist leader of the Kalmyk people, has been appointed as the new Honorary Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Tibet Culture & Information Centre (Office of Tibet) in Moscow, Russia.

He will take over as the new Representative once the paper works of the outgoing Representative Dr. Ngawang Rabgyal is complete.

Telo Rinpoche is the spiritual head of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in Kalmykia. Born to a Kalmyk Mongolian family in the USA, he studied at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in South India at the age of 7. Read the rest of this entry »

8th February 2014 Alexey Zunov presented the application «Halmg Keln» for iOS platform (Kalmyk language). The application on top 100 of the free download applications in «Education category».

The application provides two vocabularies: from Russian to Kalmyk and from Kalmyk to Russian, also the App. provides the education service based on push up messages.
