The festivities in honor of the birthday of Buddha. In celebration of the Urs cap central khurul “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” a program of activities for which everyone is invited.
June 15, 5:00 am Geshe lharamba Tenzin Dugda gives all-day vow of Mahayana, which includes a vow of non-alcoholic beverages. The action “take the vows of sobriety” is taking place in Kalmykia. Mongolia’s President has called the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia, a very beautiful
On a visit to Elista, the President of Mongolia Tsakhia Elbegdorj visited the main Buddhist temple (khurul) of Kalmykia “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”, where he met with the head of the Buddhist republic Shadzhin Lama Telo Tulku Rinpoche.
The President of Mongolia, the state, which is the traditional religion of Buddhism, brought the ritual scarves (Hudack) to set the prayer hall of the 9-meter statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, in deference to the founder of the Buddhist faith and the throne of His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV, the highest religious leader of Mongolia and Kalmykia. In the central khurul Kalmykia ceremony of consecration of the Buddha statues and relics to the stupa
Yesterday, 26 April, the central khurul “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” was the ceremony of consecration of the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. In addition, the monks consecrate all brought from the village Primanych sacred objects, which will be incorporated in the stupa of enlightenment. Among them are statue of Buddha Akshobhya. It is this deity advised the villagers to put in a niche stupa shadzhin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche.

Yesterday, 26 April 2011, the High Lama of Kalmykia and President of the Association of Buddhists of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche gave a lecture at the University of California at Santa Barbara on “Buddhism in Kalmykia in the post-Soviet era.”

Ph.D., Harvard University Alexander Berzin visit Kalmykia
April 12 in Elista, at the invitation shadzhin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche arrives Alexander Berzin – known in the world Buddhologist, Tibet, the historian, Ph.D., Harvard University.
Alexander Berzin was born in Paterson, New Jersey, received in 1965 a bachelor’s degree at the Department of Oriental Studies at Rutgers University in cooperation with Princeton University in 1967 – a master’s degree, and in 1972 – a doctorate at the Department of Far Eastern Languages (Chinese) and Sanskrit and Indian Studies at Harvard University. Medvedev in gold temple of Kalmykia
Evening of March 1, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited the central khurul of Kalmykia “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” – the largest Buddhist temple in Russia and Europe.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who came to the temple accompanied by the Head of Kalmykia, Alexei Orlov, met the head of the monastic community and the Buddhist Republic of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche.
Snowy Hudak, presented to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev – a sign of warm hospitality and respect for the honored guest. A small tour of the temple began with the altar area, where Dmitry Medvedev, according to ancient tradition, Kalmyk, lit the lamp – a sign of respect for the people of Kalmykia. Ritual – the blessing of the White Mandzhushri – the Buddha of Wisdom
Today, July 4, 2010, in Elista (Kalmykia), especially for enrollees in the central temple of “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”, was a Buddhist ritual – the blessing of the White Mandzhushri – Buddha of wisdom.
At the request of the youth of Kalmykia this ceremony each year conducts Ph.D. Geshe Tenzin Dugda. According to the teacher and mentor, the White Mandzhushri – Buddha of wisdom will always help anyone who needs it. Read the rest of this entry »
